Well I took everything back to the EOC today to try and put it in place before the Skywarn training class this morning. I ended up actually working through the entire class. As of this morning, Echolink is active. If you look for the node KC8KGZ-R that will link you to the 26 repeater (actually it links you to the 220 repeater, which is then linked to the 26).
I'm still dealing with the low audio coming from the Echolink side. Right now I'm currently using the DB9 interface from the rear of the Alinco 235. My plan is to try and go right through the mic jack. We've noticed that the audio from the microphone is very hot, so I'm hoping that the microphone interface will have higher audio levels (the DB9 on the back of the Alinco is really designed for packet which doesn't require high audio). If I can get ahold of a female, 8-pin microphone jack before the training class on the 28th, I'm going to try and wire up the cable so I can just switch it out at the meeting.
You're more than welcome to try it out. Let me know if you do, I'm curious as to how many people are interested in using it. Just remember to speak up until I can get the audio levels fixed.
