Howdy all.
Well, we've been having issues with the computers at the EOC. One computer is a spare (but it has the same problems) and the other computer runs Echolink and the MMSSTV upload. It seems like the computer locks up on a weekly basis. There's nothing in the logs that would indicate why, just the programs and Windows Explorer become unresponsive. There seemed to be a pattern of the problems occurring on Sunday, so my thinking is there's something that wasn't completely uninstalled when we got the computers from the county and some program/scheduled job is trying to run in a partially uninstalled mode and it's causing the computer to lock up (but there's no additional programs/tasks that I can see).
All that being said, I took the spare computer home and I formatted it to clear any latent fragments of software installed and I'm going to set it up like the Echolink/MMSSTV computer and then just swap them.
I've already gotten the computer formatted and now it's just the waiting game for all the updates. After everything is configured, I'll let it sit at my place for a few weeks under a load to verify that it doesn't lock up.
Hopefully, we can get this resolved so it will work as it should for everyone, and we don't have to keep babysitting it.
Oh, I also set the current machine to reboot on its own several times a week to hopefully temporarily mitigate load issues.
Thanks
Adam
