Howdy All.
Well, it's been several weeks since I took the spare computer home to wipe it and get it up and running. Within a few days I had it all back up and running, and I decided to try to see how Echolink and MMSSTV would work with Windows 10 and surprisingly they work fine. It actually seems that the computer runs smoother with Windows 10 than it did with Windows 7.
I left the computer running for about 2 weeks with a load and it stayed online the entire time. This last week, I ended up connecting an audio feed from my 2m radio so I could test out the MMSSTV reception as well as the auto-upload of images to the website. Everything worked well, so I left everything connected so at least people could be able to see SSTV images until I got the computer replaced.
Dale (KC8ZXF) and I went to the EOC last night to install the replacement computer. It took a few hours to get everything in place and tested but everything seems to be working great. SSTV images seem to be much clearer than they were on the old computer and Echolink doesn't seem to have the muffled sound that it used to.
I wana thank Dale for getting me in to the EOC and for his help testing, Clayton (W8CNZ) for helping test the MMSSTV and John (WA8ALQ) for helping test Echolink.
So far, everything's remained up and running (fingers crossed). I connected to Echolink earlier today, and I can see additional pictures on the sstv site that people have uploaded within the last 24 hours.
As always, if you use the different systems and have any issues, please let me know.
